Wolfsberg 2017

Saturday at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Klagenfurt

After lunch we drove the short distance to the CWGC in Klagenfurt. As always, the cemetery looked beautiful in the afternoon sun. After a short interval, we gathered at the cenotaph where I read a short speech and laid a wreath in memory of those POWs who never made it home. Raihera Heka performed a Karanga, a Maori call to unite the living with the spirits of the dead. A very emotional moment.
