Reception at the Kuss

After we had viewed the Exhibition at the Museum, we walked a short distance to a rather grand function hall know as the Kuss. We all had a glass of something in the reception area and then took our seats at the tables in the main hall. (If you want to know who organised the seating plan, that was myself and Daniel. We thought it worked pretty well.) We were entertained by a local choir, we had a slide show of the Lavant Valley, the mayor gave a speech, as did Igor, Christian and myself (again). Eric Bardsley, the ex-POW, gave a speech in German which received, much to his surprise, a standing ovation. Those very organised Kiwis presented gifts to the Mayor and myself. (Thanks, folks. I was blown away by that; totally unexpected. The jade axe has pride of place in our living room - a constant reminder of a great weekend.)

And finally we got to eat. A good meal too.
