Dan Donaldson, son of the late John Francis ('Tom') Donaldson, has sent a number of photographs taken at the Work Camp. Tom was captured in Greece in April, 1941 after the battle on the mole at Kalamata. Tom worked on his own farm back in New Zealand and so had no problems with farm work in Austria. One innovation he brought to Austria was morning and afternoon tea-breaks!
As the Man of Confidence, It was necessary for Tom Donaldson to communicate with other Work Camps and with the main Stalag. This was done by means of Kriegsgefangenenpost (Prisoner of War Post). Below are two cards received by Tom concerning other POWs.
